Black & White Dicussion Question #3

Welcome Sam,Amanda,Noah, Amy, Claire and Walid. We are reading section 3 which are chapters 6-8, the book we are reading is Black & White by Eric Walters.
My question is,  What do you think are the most important characteristics about Tom? Explain, using examples for each characteristic.

Assignment #9: If I had $100

For this assignment I chose my ethical gifts from 2 different organizations The Salvation Army and Plan Canada. The gift I chose from The Salvation Army was a mosquito net which costs $12 and it is to protect children and families from malaria. Malaria is a disease that mosquitos carry and those nets help provent that. The gifts I got from Plan Canada were water purification tablets, a mango tree, 3 baby chicks, and a blanket to wrap a newborn baby. The water purification tablets are for purifying water to stop people from getting sick from the diseases in the water it costs $50. The mango tree is to provide food, shade, and more mango trees it costs $12. Three baby chicks provide company, income and food they cost $15 all together. The last ethical gift I have gotten was a blanket for a newborn baby and that will provide warmth, saftey, it will keep them clean. Those are the items I would get for the families in need that are in poor countries. What this poem means to me is that everyone should tell the truth about themselves and not lie to make other people like you.

Tolerace Project

I think tolerance is an important thing because it means you have tolerance for  someone and their believes. If you don't have tolerance for someone that means you don't care for their believes,religion,race,or any thing else that could be disrespectful.I think that you should have tolerance towards everyone know matter what their believes are.If someone shows tolerance towards you and you show it back that means both people have tolerance towards each other.Also some people don't care if they show tolerance towards someone or not because it doesn't to them.I think people that have tolerance is showing that you care for many different people. Many people think having tolerance is really important but actually it is.Tolerance is also showing that you are fair and don't exclude anyone because of their personalities or religion.This is my project on tolerance and how I feel about it.
